Maestro Vladimir Spivakov marks his 65th anniversary

Leading musicians from around the world will come out on stage of Moscow’s House of Music tonight to pay a musical tribute to the world-acclaimed violinist and conductor Vladimir Spivakov who is marking his 65th birthday. Pianist Denis Matsuyev, singer Hibla Gezmava and musicians from France, Romania and other countries will perform to the accompaniment of the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Spivakov himself. The founder and longtime artistic director of the celebrated Virtuosi of Moscow orchestra, Vladimir Spivakov spends most of the year on the road, is active in public life and as the head of a charity foundation of his own name. He has already received congratulations from President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
