Maestro Artist Management is going to present THE ST PETERSBURG STATE BALLET ON ICE on the stage of newly renovated Millennium Theatre in Brooklyn, NY this holiday season. THE ST PETERSBURG STATE BALLET ON ICE is one of the jewels of Russia. Founded 40 years ago and steeped heavily in the traditions of Russian classic ballet, The St. Petersburg State Ballet on Ice is the pioneer producer of ice ballets. The company has toured worldwide since 1967. They have been presented throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, South America, Canada and the company has toured the United States 10 times playing venues from the celebrated Kennedy Center in Washington, DC to colleges, universities and Performing Arts Centers from coast to coast.

The company travels with 35 award-winning world-class figure skaters in productions including NUTCRACKER and SLEEPING BEAUTY, in the tradition of the renowned Kirov Ballet. But these fairies are not en pointe, they are "on blade". On Ice! For twenty-four hours and with 7500 pounds of ice, the Millennium Theatre will undergo a chilling makeover and emerge a 30' X 40' ice rink. Jumps and spins heighten the romance of these classic fairy tales. The cast of ice stars will glide through the ballet-inspired choreography defying gravity with every twist and turn. Each production is magnificently costumed and performed with exquisite sets to the music of the great ballet scores by Tchaikovsky.
Vladimir Putin presented the ST PETERSBURG STATE BALLET ON ICE in Guatemala for the International Olympic Committee earlier this summer as part of his presentation for Russia to be awarded the Winter Olympics for 2012. Russia has received that honor.
A champion pair figure skater, general director Mikhail Kaminov began as a leading soloist with the company in 1967. Kaminov has now been the head of the company for more than 10 years, during which it has toured across Russia, Europe, Greece, the United States, Korea, China and now Canada.
